Game Audio and Sound Design

Hello! My name is Kajsa Magnarsson. I am a composer and sound designer with a background in contemporary music.

Since 2023 I’ve been studying game audio full time. Now I am searching for an internship where I can further develope my talents and be part of a creative team.

All music made by me, Kajsa Magnarsson. All sound design made by Charlie Persson except for ”Smoshi come home” which is made by me.

I have a BA in Composition and Sound Art from the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, I have studied at Universität der Künste in Berlin and Gotland School of Composers and am currently enrolled at AP Academy – Game Audio and Sound Design. Recently I took in university courses in Max/MSP, theoretical game design, game music analysis and project management.

As a freelance artist, I’ve performed and exhibited internationally and I have worked with several ensembles as well as choreographers, filmmakers and composers across Europe.

Beside my artistic work, I’ve been a part of project management, curation and board work through organizations like KVAST, Konstmusiksystrar and Harp Art Lab. I have also worked in retail and as a SEO copywriter.

Composing – Different genres and expressions.

Sound design – Recording and layering.

Sound editing – Deep experience with Logic. Also worked with other DAWs like Reaper and Ableton Live

Implementation – Basic knowledge in Wwise and FMOD.

Recording – I have recorded different mediums and instruments both in studio and out in the real world.

Project management – From making an album to putting together a music festival.

Autonomous – My home-studio is well equipped and I have a Zoom H6 for field recording. Keeping deadlines and commitments has never been a problem.
